I met with James today in Lake Zurich, Illinois. We had a rather long and very productive meeting. James is knowledgeable and personable. I encourage anyone to meet with him if he is in your area.
It may sound like boasting but I'm an expert estimator. My livelihood has depended on my estimating skills and I have been doing it for 30 years. I track nearly every job to compare the accuracy of the actual job to my quotes.
I tried another software package that seemed similar several years ago. I was so disappointed, I returned it. It didn't have my common tasks and the printed pages weren't very attractive to show clients.
After a helpful business discussion James showed me his software. It is fully editable in every area I would want to edit it. What was most reassuring about the software was comparing his prices to mine. We entered my hourly rate into his software and compared the price of single tasks and a complex assembly I had recently bid. The numbers were very similar and I would be very comfortable pricing work from this software. It is obvious that he has tracked his own time in creating the tasks for his software.
